Tell us what you need

We reply within one working day — with questions or a first scope.

No spam, no cold calls. A free scope even if you don't hire us.

What you get

  • Design tokens for colour, type, spacing, radius and shadows
  • Reusable Figma component library with variants and states
  • Light and dark mode built in from day one
  • WCAG 2.1 AA accessible colours, contrast and focus states
  • Developer-ready documentation and handoff specs
  • Optional coded components in React, Flutter or Tailwind
  • Fixed price in writing, GST invoice, full ownership

What’s included

Every Cartel Planet design system is built around the products you already have and the ones you plan to build. A standard engagement includes:

  • UI audit: we review your current website, app or software and list every inconsistent button, colour, font size and spacing value.
  • Design tokens: colour, typography, spacing, grid, border radius, elevation and motion, named and organised so designers and developers speak the same language.
  • Component library: buttons, inputs, dropdowns, cards, tables, modals, navigation, alerts, tabs and more, each with sizes, variants and states (default, hover, focus, disabled, error, loading).
  • Patterns and templates: login, forms, dashboards, listing pages, checkout and empty states, assembled from your components.
  • Theming: light and dark mode, plus multi-brand support if you run more than one product.
  • Documentation: usage rules, do’s and don’ts, and spacing guidance written for both designers and developers.
  • Developer handoff: tokens exported to CSS variables, Tailwind config or JSON, with optional coded components.
  • Training and governance: a walkthrough session for your team and a simple process for adding or changing components later.

Who is Design Systems for?

  • SaaS and product startups shipping new features every sprint and watching the UI drift apart.
  • Businesses with more than one digital product (a website, an app and an admin panel) that should feel like one brand.
  • Growing teams where new designers and developers keep reinventing the same button.
  • Companies planning a redesign or rebrand that want to do it once and do it properly.
  • Enterprises and agencies that need consistency across multiple teams, vendors or white-label brands.

What we offer

  • Design System Starter: foundations and core components for early-stage products and MVPs.
  • Product Design System: a full component library, patterns, dark mode and documentation for live SaaS platforms, apps and portals.
  • Enterprise and Multi-brand Systems: token architecture for multiple brands or products, governance and coded component libraries.
  • Design System Audit and Cleanup: we fix and organise an existing messy Figma file instead of starting from zero.
  • Design-to-Code Sync: tokens and components turned into production-ready React, Flutter or Tailwind code that matches Figma exactly.

What makes our Design Systems different

Most design systems look good in a Figma file and then get ignored. Ours are built to be used. We design with your developers in the room, so token names match code, components match how your framework works, and nothing gets “lost in handoff”. Because Cartel Planet also builds websites, apps and custom software, we know what developers need from a design file, and we design to that standard. We also size the system to your stage: a ten-screen startup app doesn’t need an enterprise library, and we won’t sell you one.

Why Choose Cartel Planet

  • Fixed price in writing: a clear scope and quote before work starts, with a GST invoice.
  • Weekly reviews: you see progress every week, not just at the end.
  • Design and development under one roof: the same team can build what we design.
  • Accessibility by default: WCAG 2.1 AA contrast, focus states and readable type.
  • You own everything: Figma files, tokens, documentation and code are handed over in your name.
  • Support after delivery: 30 days of free support, and a care plan if you want ongoing updates.

Breakpoints and layout rules for mobile, tablet and desktop, so screens adapt without guesswork.

Patterns and Page Templates

Ready-made forms, dashboards, tables, onboarding and checkout flows built from your components.

Living Documentation

Clear usage guidelines, examples and do’s and don’ts that new team members can learn from in a day.

Developer Handoff and Code Sync

Tokens exported to CSS variables, Tailwind or JSON, with optional coded components in React or Flutter

Why it pays off

  • Launch new screens and features up to twice as fast
  • Every page, app and dashboard looks and feels like one brand
  • Fewer design and development hours wasted on rework
  • Faster onboarding for new designers and developers
  • Cleaner, smaller, easier-to-maintain front-end code
  • Accessible products that more people can use
  • Rebrands and theme changes done in hours, not months
  • A design foundation that scales as your product grows
  • (Note: “up to twice as fast” is a common industry claim. Swap in your own measured number if you have one, or soften to “much faster”.)

How it runs

  1. Understand

A free discovery call about your products, team, tech stack and deadlines. We review your current screens and tell you honestly what size of system you need.

  2. Audit and Plan

We inventory every UI element in use, find the inconsistencies and share a written scope with deliverables, timeline and a fixed price.

  3. Build Foundations

We define tokens for colour, typography, spacing, grid and elevation, then test them against your real screens.

  4. Design Components and Patterns

We build the component library and page patterns, reviewed with your designers and developers every week.

  5. Document and Hand Off

We write the documentation, export tokens for code and, if included, build coded components that match Figma.

  6. Launch and Support

We train your team, set up a simple governance process and give 30 days of free support, with a care plan available after that.

Questions about design systems

Straight answers on cost, timelines, ownership and support. Can't find yours? Ask us — a real person replies within one working day.

What is a design system?

A design system is a shared library of design rules, tokens and reusable components, plus documentation on how to use them. It keeps your website, app and software consistent and makes new screens faster to design and build.

How much does a design system cost in India?

At Cartel Planet, design systems typically cost ₹75,000 – ₹4,00,000. A starter system for an MVP sits at the lower end, while multi-brand or coded systems sit higher. You get a fixed price in writing before we start.

How long does it take to build a design system?

Usually 2–10 weeks. Foundations and core components take 2–4 weeks; a full product or enterprise system with documentation and code takes 6–10 weeks.

What’s the difference between a design system, a UI kit and a style guide?

A style guide covers brand rules like logo, colours and fonts. A UI kit is a set of components. A design system combines both with tokens, patterns, documentation and governance, so it can be used and grown across products.

Do we need a design system if we’re a small startup?

Not always a large one. If you have one product and a small team, a lean starter system with tokens and core components saves time from day one and avoids costly cleanup later. We’ll tell you if you don’t need one yet.

Which tools do you use?

We build in Figma using variables, auto layout and component properties. Tokens can be exported to CSS variables, Tailwind, JSON or Style Dictionary, and coded components can be built in React, Next.js or Flutter.

Can you build a design system from our existing product?

Yes. Most projects start that way. We audit your current screens, keep what works, fix what doesn’t and turn it into a structured system without forcing a full redesign.

Will our developers actually be able to use it?

Yes. We involve your developers from the start, match token names to your code and provide handoff specs. We can also build the coded component library so design and code stay in sync.

Is the design system accessible?

Yes. We design to WCAG 2.1 AA, including colour contrast, focus states, readable type sizes and touch target sizes.

Who owns the design system after delivery?

You do. All Figma files, tokens, documentation and code are transferred to your account.

Do you support the system after launch?

Every project includes 30 days of free support. After that, you can choose a care plan for new components, updates and team support.
